White China Looking East

Gary Fitzpatrick • Published 9 Jan 2013 15:30

IN tomorrow's Press, read the remarkable story of Dunfermline band, White China.

They were signed up by Island Records as teenagers in the '80s and supported Big Country on 'The Crossing' tour.

They recorded a debut album but it was never released and the young band ended up going their separate ways.

Three decades on, the band re-formed last year to support Big Country again at the Alhambra and they have also recently discovered that bizarrely they have a big following in the Phillipines, where they have been playing their tracks on radio from the '80s to the present day.

The band will be heading to the Phillipines soon but before that you can catch them at the Green Hotel, Kinross, on 19th January.
